����Former Malaysia Prime Minister Datuk Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi visited World Muslim City in the company of leaders from Ningxia Ethnic Affairs Commission and Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office in April 21.

����Prime Minister Badawi and his party arrived at the headquarter of World Muslim City and received warm welcome from 300 more students and teachers in Ningxia Muslim International Language College.

����In the Exhibition Hall, the Prime Minister firstly listened to the introduction of the project construction by Yu Zhiyi, Executive Director of Ningxia World Muslim City. He said, World Muslim City is one of the three long term developing platforms in developing Ningxia inland open economy as well as the key project included in Ningxia Twelveth Five-Year Plan which will be opening to Muslims all over the world. With a high starting point and expenditure to build the project a superb one and the biggest platform of Islam culture displaying and communication is what the whole world look forward. Prime Minister Badawi looked at the exhibition board for a good while and praised the project’s magnificence. He said, the entire design of the construction is a mixture of modern concept and Islamic construction style which greatly demonstrated a Chinese, Muslim, and Arab cultural integration which will surely promote the development of local tourism and social economy.

����During the visit, the World Islamic History Museum aroused great interest of the Prime Minister. When he learned the designer is our president, he held up his thumb in approval. Zhang Yexing, Deputy Director of Ningxia foreign affairs office said, this construction is a perfect combination of Islamic basic theory and Muslim architecture both in shape and inner structure. He believes that with the effort of the Muslims all over the world, this project will surely be completed and becomes an everlasting monument, there was a hearty laughter from the crowd including the Prime Minister.

����At the time of parting, the Prime Minister wrote: This World Muslim City has been planned with vision of the future but with a strong image reflecting of Islamic buildings from the construction mode by Muslims all over the world. I congratulate the architect for his ability to plan the city that on completion it will become one of the most beautiful Medina in the world. It will be a pride for all Muslims.

����Finally, the Prime Minister had a group photo with the comrades in charge of the World Muslim City.
